Former ‘Times’ Worker’s Son Dies
Robert Bennett Scott, 22-year-old son of Captain Charles H. Scott, former Times employee, died yesterday November 18, 1940 in a sanitarium after a long illness.
Born, in Cody, Wyoming, young Scott attended Burbank High School and Los Angeles City College. He was a basketball player and a protégé of Howard Hill, champion archer.
In addition to his father, now assigned to the Southern California Military District headquarters, Scott, leaves his mother at the family home, 845 N. Cordova Street, Burbank.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Bresee Brothers and Gillette. NOTE: He was buried at Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood, California.
